Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2 has officially arrived.
Rockstar Games released the second GTA VI trailer on May 6, 2025, delivering the biggest official update on the game since its initial reveal.
The new trailer significantly expands the story of Jason and Lucia and gives players a much deeper look at Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

Trailer 2 formally introduces Jason Duval as one of GTA VI's central protagonists.
Rockstar describes Jason as someone who wants an easy life, even though things keep becoming more complicated around him.

After spending time in the Army in an attempt to move beyond his troubled teenage years, he eventually ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners.
His life changes when he meets Lucia.
Rockstar makes clear that Jason understands their relationship could become either the best or worst thing to ever happen to him.
LUCIA CAMINOS
Lucia Caminos returns as the other central figure in GTA VI.
Rockstar revealed significantly more about her background alongside Trailer 2.
Lucia learned how to fight from her father at a young age.
Her determination to protect her family eventually landed her in Leonida Penitentiary.
After getting out, she is focused on making smarter moves and creating a better future for herself.
Rockstar also revealed that Lucia's mother dreamed of a better life for the family dating back to their time in Liberty City.
Lucia now wants to turn that dream into reality.
She believes that a life with Jason could potentially provide a way forward.
THE STORY
The official story synopsis reveals that Jason and Lucia have always known the odds are stacked against them.
Their situation becomes dramatically worse when what should have been an easy score goes wrong.
The pair find themselves pulled into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida.
Trapped in increasingly dangerous circumstances, Jason and Lucia are forced to depend on each other if they want to survive.
This expanded synopsis gives GTA VI a much clearer story direction than Trailer 1.
While the first trailer established their criminal partnership, Trailer 2 confirms that the relationship between Jason and Lucia sits directly at the center of a larger conspiracy.
VICE CITY AND LEONIDA
Trailer 2 offers a much broader look at the world beyond the locations seen in Trailer 1.
Vice City remains a major part of GTA VI, but Rockstar continues to emphasize that the game extends across the entire state of Leonida.
The trailer showcases beaches, highways, nightlife, residential neighborhoods, industrial areas, waterways, criminal hideouts and rural environments.
Rockstar's official GTA VI site also expanded dramatically alongside Trailer 2, providing dedicated profiles for characters and locations throughout Leonida.
MORE CHARACTERS
The May 2025 GTA VI update introduced several additional characters connected to Jason and Lucia.
These include Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder.
Each character occupies a different part of Leonida's criminal, entertainment or social world.
Their introduction shows that Jason and Lucia's story will involve a wider network of criminals, friends, business operators and entertainers across the state.
A MUCH DEEPER LOOK AT GTA VI
Trailer 2 is far more story-focused than the first GTA VI trailer.

Alongside Trailer 2, Rockstar dramatically expanded the official GTA VI media library.
The company released dedicated screenshots for Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos and multiple supporting characters, as well as imagery focused on Vice City and locations across Leonida.
Rockstar's official media library now provides an extensive visual record of the game's characters and world.
