Rockstar Games has revealed the full pre-order details for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of global pre-orders opening on June 25, 2026.
The new information confirms the GTA VI Ultimate Edition, the Vintage Vice City Pack, digital pre-order bonuses, preload timing and how the physical version of the game will work.
PRE-ORDERS BEGIN AT MIDNIGHT
Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders begin at midnight local time on June 25.
Rockstar later updated the announcement to confirm that pre-orders were available globally.
The launch campaign includes both the Standard Edition and the expanded Ultimate Edition.
GTA VI ULTIMATE EDITION
The Grand Theft Auto VI Ultimate Edition includes an exclusive collection of premium content integrated across Jason and Lucia’s story.
Rockstar describes the package as containing vehicles, weapons, clothing, businesses and other content designed to expand the single-player experience.
The Ultimate Edition includes multiple exclusive items and locations, including special vehicles, weapon variants, clothing, businesses and customization options.
Among the officially listed content are the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Hawk and Little Morgan Revolvers, personalized weapon variants, Vice City Styles, Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles and multiple businesses and customization locations.
The package also includes additional vehicles and content connected to the wider world of Leonida.
VINTAGE VICE CITY PACK
All GTA VI pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack.
The pack is designed as a tribute to an earlier era of Vice City.
Rockstar describes it as a collection of items that flash back to when the city’s neon burned brightest.
The Vintage Vice City Pack includes bonus content such as a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.
DIGITAL PRE-ORDER BONUS
Players who pre-order a digital version of Grand Theft Auto VI also receive a free month of GTA+.
This bonus applies to qualifying digital pre-orders and forms part of Rockstar’s launch promotion.
PRELOAD BEGINS NOVEMBER 12
Digital pre-orders of Grand Theft Auto VI will be available to preload beginning November 12, 2026.
This gives players one week to download the game before the official November 19 launch.
The preload is designed to ensure players can begin playing as soon as GTA VI becomes available.
PHYSICAL VERSION IS CODE-IN-BOX
Rockstar has also clarified how the physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI will work.
The physical package contains a download code inside the box rather than a game disc.
Rockstar says this approach supports the November 12 preload period.
The physical code-in-box version is scheduled to become available beginning November 12.
NO DISC INCLUDED
The Rockstar Store explicitly confirms that the physical version does not include a disc.
Instead, buyers receive a boxed physical product containing a download code.
This is an important distinction for players expecting a traditional disc-based physical edition.
STANDARD EDITION
The Standard Edition provides access to the core Grand Theft Auto VI single-player experience.
Players purchasing before November 20 can also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Digital pre-orders additionally qualify for the GTA+ promotional month where eligible.
ULTIMATE EDITION UPGRADE
Rockstar also offers an Ultimate Edition upgrade path for players who already own the game.
The Rockstar Store states that players can upgrade to the Ultimate Edition through the PlayStation Store.
This provides another option for players who begin with the Standard Edition and later decide they want the additional content.
NOVEMBER 19 LAUNCH
Grand Theft Auto VI remains officially scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
With pre-orders, editions and preload details now public, Rockstar’s launch campaign has entered its final months.
